Kenya: KCB Eyes Burundi, Rwanda
Kenya Commercial Bank plans to tap into the regional market by opening branches in Rwanda and Burundi.
The bank’s Divisional Director, Retail Banking, Ms Catherine Njoroge, says the bank would open outlets in the two nations, which recently became members of the East African Community.
"Our regional foot prints to date extend to Tanzania, Southern Sudan and Uganda where we successfully ventured last year," said Njoroge.
She was speaking at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort, Mombasa, during the launch of the KCB Biashara Club.
The club is an entrepreneurial development and networking opportunity under the bank’s Biashara Banking proposition started last year.
"KCB Biashara Club is the perfect vehicle for entrepreneurs ready to tap into the wealth of business opportunities across the country and the region at large," she said.
